A disease can be the result of more than one cause. Disease could be due to nutritional (vitamins minerals trace elements and others)  which could be a deficiency or decrease in take or inappropriate  digestion or  assimilation/absorption(Intestine health or gut health), genetic defects in metabolism, increase in demand, inappropriate biotransformation, inappropriate detox mechanisms,  inappropriate elimination mechanism, inappropriate defense mechanism, presence of unwanted chemicals in body, inappropriate cell function (mitochondrial function  etc.), Inappropriate repair mechanism in body, improper liver function, unhealthy gut, infections inside, hormonal imbalance, sleep issues, spiritual, emotions (mental health).

We consider body as a whole unit since the functions of organs in the body are interlinked and cannot be treated in isolation specialty wise and any disease or symptoms suffered by a person is manifestation of underlying issues (root causes) in one or many systems in the body, so we treat the root cause of diseases and not the symptoms so that patient not only can get free of the symptoms or suffering he is undergoing but also diseases could get reverse/remission.
